Course Overview

Roblox Game Development
Recommended Grades 5–9 | 5 Days

Employing the Roblox platform, students learn game design and development. Over the course of the program, students become proficient with the Lua programming language, build multiplayer worlds and even create their own game.

No prior programming experience is required; however, students should be proficient with a keyboard and mouse.

Introduction to Python
Recommended Grades 9–11 | 5 Days

Learn the same language that allows Tesla cars to drive autonomously and iRobot vacuums map out your home. This course not only provides an introduction to Python, but it also includes an overview of data science and machine-learning/artificial intelligence.

This course culminates in a fun but challenging project to build a classification machine-learning model to analyze movie reviews.

Machine-Learning/Artificial Intelligence
Recommended Grades 9–11 | 5 Days

This course covers a variety of machine-learning/artificial intelligence algorithms and techniques, including Random Forest, nearest neighbor variants, and TensorFlow. Students will participate in a capstone project to build and customize ad neural-network, machine-learning-powered arcade space shooter game.

Students taking this course should already have a solid grasp of intermediate-to-advanced Python or have completed the Introduction to Python course.
